Sage300 - Employee Onboarding
Step 1: Setting Up Employee Accounts
Once a new employee is hired, the HR manager will:
- Create the employee’s profile in Sage300.
- Submit an IT policy in the IT User Dashboard
- Upon approval, an Active Directory profile will be created.
Important:
- HR does not receive login credentials. The email received by HR is shown below.

- The manager gets the credentials and must share them with the employee.

⚠️ If you don’t receive credentials, please log a ticket with the helpdesk. Seldom, the automated mailing service can fail, causing the email not to be sent.
- Employees must reset their password upon first login.
Step 2: Requesting Hardware
Managers must request necessary hardware before/day of the employee’s start date.
- Submit a hardware request form for required equipment like a laptop, monitor or headsets.

Step 3: Requesting Access
Managers must request system access for employees before their first day. This can only be done once the IT policy is submitted by HR and approved by IT.
- Submit system access requests via SailPoint, in Request Centre -> Request for Others tab.

- If an application is not available on SailPoint, use the Access Modification Form.
